AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal's indefinite fast urging people not to pay ‘inflated’ power bills entered the second day on Sunday with his party claiming that over 36,000 people have signed up for its disobedience movement.
In a statement issued at the national capital, the party claimed 36,743 citizens of Delhi have signed up for AAP’s civil disobedience movement and promised not to pay power and water bills. ‘They have joined Aam Aadmi Party’s civil disobedience movement and have boldly given in writing that they will no longer pay these bills,’ the statement said.
Launching his fast on Saturday, Kejriwal had said, ‘This time, we are not demanding anything from the government. My appeal is directly to the people of Delhi.’
