As adulteration in milk is becoming order of the day, making the essential food item poisonous, the Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute Centre (CEERI) has come up with a system to detect adulteration. The technology, which has been developed to tackle the health hazard, was unveiled by Union Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Harsh Vardhan on Saturday.
While launching the product, the minister said that he will soon be reaching out to the Union Health Minister and state health ministers to adopt and deploy this technology to address the problem of milk adulteration in the country.
“The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India will also be asked to bring in the required regulatory intervention so as to ensure the delivery of quality milk,” said Vardhan.
