Student, executive, die in separate road accidents

An executive director of a Andhara Pradesh-based paper mill died in an accident in Ghaziabad on Thursday afternoon while on his business trip to purchase second hand machines. In another road accident, a 17 year old student died while his two friends received severe injuries.
According to police the accident involving exceutive director happened at around 2.30 pm in Kavi Nagar when the driver of the truck in which the machines were loaded reversed without looking. The victim was crushed between the truck and machines.
The machines were overturned immediately to rescue the victim, identified as M Sudhakar Reddy, and he was rushed to the nearby hospital, but declared brought dead.
Reddy, a resident of East Godavri district in Andhra Pradesh, was in the city to purchase two second-hand machines for his paper mill from an entrepreneur Yogendra Mishra in Udyog Kunj in Kavi Nagar Industrial Area of Ghaziabad.
The Class X student Arshad, 17, also faced a similar fate when his scooter collided with a water tanker in Sehani Gate police station area. According to the police, he was riding his scooter with two other friends riding pillion. When they reached the flyover next to Sihani Gate police station, where construction work is undergoing, Arshad lost control, and collided with a stationary water tanker that was parked on the side of the road. He was rushed to the nearest hospital by locals, where he succumbed to his injuries. His two friends suffered minor injuries.
