Student commits suicide over low marks

A class X student has committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan for scoring low marks in his pre-board examination. The incident took place in Rohtash Nagar area, located in north-east Delhi.  According to police, the incident took place on late Wednesday evening at around 8 pm when the deceased, identified as Aman (16), was alone in his room. He allegedly hung himself from a ceiling fan using his mother’s dupatta. A team who reached the spot has recovered a suicide note. ‘I scored very less marks in the pre-board examination. I could not face my parents with such less marks as they have many expectations from me. I have decided to end my life and no one is responsible for my extreme step,’ his suicide note reads.
