Sterlite Power Grid starts Jabalpur unit

Sterlite Power Grid Ventures has commissioned its Jabalpur Transmission project, which has been set up at an estimated cost of about Rs 1,500 crore. “Sterlite Power Grid Ventures (Sterlite Grid), a subsidiary of Pune-based Sterlite Technologies, announces <g data-gr-id="10">commissioning</g> of its Jabalpur transmission Project,” the company said in a press release.
Sterlite Grid charged the 379 km-long 765-kv double circuit Dharamjaygarh-Jabalpur transmission line, the longest 765-kv line in the country, on September 12. Earlier in June 2015, Sterlite Grid successfully commissioned the stretch of 236-km Jabalpur-Bina transmission line. After commissioning both the constituents of Jabalpur Transmission Company (JTCL), Sterlite Grid has become the first private developer to complete 765 <g data-gr-id="9">kv</g> double circuit transmission system, it said.
