‘The expectations of people can be multiple at this crucial time from me, but only step-by-step progressive work will yield fruitful results. The reconstruction and rehabilitation work in disaster-hit regions is a daunting task, and time-consuming too. But our government is focused to wipe tears and bring happiness to every dejected face that lost all hope after gigantic tragedy in Uttarakhand.
Separate disaster zones will be made in affected areas of the district and for this an authority will come into surface that will function at district level.’
Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat said while he paid his first visit to Tharali and Pipalkoti of Chamoli district on Monday. He assured villagers that disaster victims would soon get relief money within a span of three months.
