State Congress organises protests over power cuts

Raising slogans against Bharatiya Janata Party, Aam Aadmi Party leader, Arvind Kejriwal, residents along with Congress workers burnt effigies of union power minister Piyush Goyal and the AAP leader. 

‘Private tankers, as well as Delhi Jal Board tankers stopped coming a month ago. Day before yesterday, the entire night we couldn’t sleep due to power cuts,’ said Waheed Akhtor, a Sangam Vihar resident. 

‘The entire belt ranging from Mahipalpur to Badarpur is facing severe water shortage and power cuts. The problem deepens more in Sangam Vihar and Ambedkar Nagar,’ said Nayantara , a protestor. 

Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh, former MP Sajjan Kumar and chief spokesperson Mukesh Sharma were also present during the demonstration.
