St. Stephen’s opens admissions today

The admission process to St. Stephen’s College for the 2013-14 academic session is scheduled to start on Saturday.
The registration process for admission in general category has been made completely online this year.
K M Mathew, tutor for admission to St. Stephen’s College said, ‘We will start the registration process from 1 June. The last date of receiving application will be 19 June. The forms will be available online.’
Only physically-disabled students will have the opportunity to fill both offline and online registration free of cost. Last year, the college had the provision of online registration as well as offline forms.’
Earlier, the college offered ten undergraduate courses, but after the implementation of the new Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP), the college will offer degree courses in BA Economics (Hons.), BA English (Hons.), BA History (Hons.), BA Philosophy (Hons.) , BA Sanskrit (Hons.), B Sc Mathematics (Hons.), BSc Chemistry (Hons.) and BSc Physics (Hons.).
While students will have to fill a centralised Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) form for admission in all other colleges of DU, for St. Stephen’s College, an aspirant will have to fill a separate form. St.Stephen’s will hold interviews to admit students who meet the cut-off.
