SRK and Amitabh gives Chittagong a grand premiere

The premiere of Anurag Kashyap’s Chittagong turned out to be star-studded with the presence of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Both the actors feel the film falls in the league of  new cinema.

‘Anurag has been a great revolution in Indian cinema and the kind of films that he has been making and has been promoting, are creating a new audience and that is very exceptional and much appreciated,’ said Amitabh.

Chittagong is ready since 2010 and is finally releasing after facing many hurdles. There were reports that the film’s release two years ago was stalled for the sake of
Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

Shah Rukh said, ‘I wanted to be part of the film, but unfortunately it didn't happen.’ ‘I am so happy that this film is releasing now. I have heard a lot about it and I wish all the best to it,’ added Shah Rukh.

Besides Bachchan and Shah Rukh, several B-town celebrities like Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Sood and Vishal Bhardwaj were spotted at the film’s premiere.

Directed by Bedabrata Pain and co-produced by Sunil Bohra, Anurag Kashyap, Shonali Bose and Pain, Chittagong features Manoj Bajpayee, Vega Tamotia, Jaideep Ahlawat and Alexx O'Nell.

The movie Chittagong is set for 12 October.
