Srinagar-Leh highway reopens after 2 days

The Srinagar-Leh national highway has reopened for vehicular traffic after remaining closed for two days due to avalanches.
‘Vehicular traffic on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway was restored late last night after clearing the debris of avalanches which took place on April 25,’ a spokesman of the Traffic Department said today.
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), which is responsible for the maintenance of the highway, cleared the roads for traffic at around 10 PM last night, he said.
