Waterstone College’s team beat by Yuvraj Singh Centres of Excellence at Merlin Rise

Kolkata: Yuvraj Singh Centres of Excellence (YSCE) defeated the Waterstone College Cricket Team from South Africa by six wickets in a 40-over cricket match at Merlin Rise on Friday.

South Africa won the toss and scored 207 runs with the loss of 10 wickets. However, the YSCE team scored 208 runs for the loss of four wickets. A contingent of 12 members from Waterstone College, Johannesburg is currently touring India for a cricket series.

The YSCE team included players from its Under-13 and Under-15 squads. Merlin Group, in collaboration with YSCE, established in 2021. The academy began its general training programme in 2023 and has quickly become a hub for budding cricketers in the region.
