FA Cup: Arsenal look to spoil Chelsea's double dream

Arsenal will chase their third FA Cup trophy in four years on Saturday when they come up against Chelsea, who will be looking to complete a league and cup double at Wembley.
The Gunners will hope that a forgettable campaign can end with a record 13th FA Cup crown (currently tied with Man Utd on 12), while Arsene Wenger's future as manager sure to be the hot topic afterwards, regardless of whether the club win or lose.

Meanwhile, Premier League champions Chelsea are looking for their first league and FA Cup double since 2010, while victory over Arsenal would bring about their 15th major trophy since Roman Abramovich bought the club
in 2003.

Arsenal face a defensive crisis ahead of the Wembley showdown with Gabriel ruled out with a knee injury and Laurent Koscielny suspended after being red-carded against Everton last weekend. Shkodran Mustafi is also an injury doubt, while Per Mertesacker - who came on for Gabriel for his first action of the season against the Toffees - looks set for a place in Saturday's final squad.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said: "It will not be my last match because whatever happens I will stay in football.
"Would it be a nice farewell? No, what I want is to win the next game. I love to win and I love to do well for my club. I want to win the cup for my club. It's not about me, it's about us winning the trophy and giving everything to
achieve it."
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte said: "To win the title this season becomes great. This season can become fantastic if we are able to win the FA Cup.
"We must find the right motivation. It's important for us to celebrate, but then to find the right fire in our soul to be ready to work very hard this week to prepare and to feel in the right way this game. This is a great opportunity to win and to do the double."

"If you ask me who is the favourite now, I can tell (you) it's Arsenal [who are favourites]."

A thrilling FA Cup season reaches its climax on Saturday, and while Chelsea are hoping to make a great season even better, Arsenal need victory to make a miserable campaign, well, slightly less
miserable.

Few Arsenal fans will deem this season a success after finshing outside of the top four, but the chance for more silverware could at least turn those frowns to a smile if at least for a day.
And then what of Wenger? The Arsenal boss has likely made his mind up already on whether he will remain or leave (surely he's staying?) but debate will rage on throughout Saturday as to whether his future hinges on the f
inal result.

This will be the second FA Cup final contested between Arsenal and Chelsea. The Gunners triumphed in the 2002 FA Cup Final in Cardiff 2-0, with goals from Ray Parlour and Freddie
Ljungberg.

Chelsea haven't lost any of their last four FA Cup Finals, all of which have been contested at Wembley (2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012). The last team to beat them in an FA Cup Final were in fact Arsenal in
2001/02.
