Olympiakos draw 0-0 with Barca in Champions League match

Athens: Greek hosts Olympiakos and Barcelona played a goalless draw at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium here in the fourth Group D match for the UEFA Champions League.

Although the Catalan visitors dominated possession from the start of the game on Tuesday but a strong defence from Olympiakos withstood the pressure and did not allow Lionel Messi and his teammates to celebrate their fourth consecutive victory in the qualifiers, reports Xinhua news agency.
Olympiakos had lost 1-3 in the first encounter between the two squads at the Camp Nou.
Tuesday's goalless draw, in combination with the outcome of the parallel match between Juventus and Sporting Clube de Portugal, leaves Olympiakos with slim hopes of advancing in the next round of 16.
Following Tuesday's match at Piraeus, Barcelona still leads Group D after four rounds, followed by Juventus and Sporting Clube de Portugal. Olympiakos remains winless at the bottom of the ranking in the group.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid failed to beat 10-man Qarabag for the second game in a row, badly affecting their chances of qualifying for
the Champions League knockout stage. Qarabag's Michel headed Qarabag into a first-half lead on Tuesday. Atletico levelled through Thomas Partey's fantastic long-range strike in the 56th minute, reports Xinhua news agency.
The hosts had the advantage of an extra man for most of the last half-hour as Pedro Henrique was sent off for a
dangerous late challenge on Diego Godin.
However, Qarabag survived as Godin, Filipe Luis and Nicolas Gaitan wasted chances to snatch Atletico's first win in the group.
Back-to-back draws mean Atletico Madrid have to beat Roma at home and Chelsea away in their final two games and hope Qarabag perform more miracles to progress to the knockout stage.
