FC Internazionale suspends Nainggolan over attitude issues

Rome: Italy's FC Inter Milan has announced the provisional suspension of Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan from any football activity due to his alleged attitude problems off the pitch.

Nainggolan, who joined the Nerazzurri for 38 million euros ($43 million) on a transfer from fellow Serie A side AS Roma over the summer, is experiencing a negative start to the season, plagued by injuries and an off-the-field behavior that is not always professional, reports Efe news.

"FC Internazionale Milano can confirm that Radja Nainggolan has been temporarily suspended from football activity for disciplinary reasons," the club's statement read.

Although Inter's head coach Luciano Spalletti did not reveal the exact behaviour that caused such punishment, local media have reported that it was due to his arriving late to several of the team's training sessions.

Furthermore, the Belgian 'Ninja' was reported to be facing problems with bank checks worth 150,000 euros ($170,758), in addition to investigations about losses of significant amounts of money at the Casino de Monte Carlo.

Nainggolan has played a total of 11 Serie A matches, scoring twice, which marks a lower performance than he had during his brilliant spell at AS Roma.
