Speeding Mercedes kills domestic servant

In an alleged case of reckless driving, a speeding Mercedes crushed to death a domestic servant who hailed from Nepal. Ironically, the logo of the luxury car was recovered lying on the victim’s body. It is being presumed that the logo fell as a result of the impact of the accident.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 10.30 pm on Thursday when a white Mercedes reportedly hit a man crossing the road near Nirman Vihar area of East Delhi. The police was informed about the accident by Paras Gupta, a model who qualified as one of the top 5 contestants in the Mr. India contest. Gupta, who was an eyewitness to the accident said, ‘I was driving back home when a white coloured speeding Mercedes that overtook me few seconds ago hit a man. The impact of the accident was so hard that the victim flew into the air. The car immediately fled from the spot.’

‘By the time police reached, I started looking for clues and in the mean-time found a Mercedes logo on the body of the victim. I handed it over to the cops,’ he added.

The deceased was identified as Ramu Singh (24) from Nepal. Singh had been living in New Rajdhani Enclave along with his brother since the last 10 years.

According to the police, a case of hit-and-run has been registered against the unidentified person and the logo recovered from the spot is being used to nab the driver of the car.

In a separate incident, a 24-year-old man identified as Kundan Singh was run over by a truck in Sarita Vihar area. 

The truck driver fled leaving his vehicle on the spot. In another incident, a man named Mukesh was crushed to death by an unknown vehicle in the Badarpur area.
