Special Cell apprehends juvenile involved in criminal cases

Delhi Police Special Cell has apprehended a juvenile who is involved in four criminal cases and is an active member of the Kapil Sangwan gang in the South-western range. The juvenile has also killed a retired Assistant sub-inspector of Delhi Police and has created an atmosphere of terror in the area.
A reward of Rs 50,000 was also announced for the information of the juvenile. He has been apprehended from Surakhpur Mod in Nagafgarh area.
According to a source, the juvenile was an active participant in the gang-war that took place in December in Chhawla area.
The gang-war took place after one Sunil, brother-in-law of Sangwan was shot dead by a history-sheeter, Nafe Singh, alias Mantri, over a dispute of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Within three hours, Sangwan and his associates along with the juvenile attacked Mantri’s house and around 50 rounds were fired. Not finding him at home, the assailants shot at Mantri’s father — Hari Kishan (who was a retired policeman), mother Sharmila and wife Kamla Devi but spared his two children – an 11-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son.
In another incident in January, the juvenile and an associate of Kapil Sangwan gang had gunned down one Dharmender as he was the person who killed Sunil. After this incident, a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced on him.
In November last year, the juvenile was apprehended and later sought anticipatory bail in the case in which he along with his associates had fired at a shop owned by one Dhirag in Najafagrh area.
The reason behind the attack was to flare up terror in the vicinity of Najafgarh area. And a case was registered in Jafarpur Kalan police station.
