Special camp for conversion from leasehold to freehold in Rohini

Balvinder Kumar, vice-chairman, DDA was also present on the occasion. The camp started on April 10, wherein apart from expediting the pending conversion applications received till March 15, fresh applications are also being received.  Assistance will be provided for filling up the forms, generation of challans, preparation of legal documents, etc, to the applicants.

Also, for facilitating speedy and convenient conversion from leasehold to freehold, DDA has taken a number of steps including, the opening up of Nagrik Suvidha Kendras at four locations that provide computerised services for submission of online applications, generation of forms, etc; holding of Lok Shivers at various locations.

Allowing conversion in the absence of sanctioned building plan, missing GPA link etc has also been introduced.   

Thus, for conversion from leasehold to freehold, one can download conveyance deed papers sitting at home after submitting the request login ID and password.  Applicants, who submit conversion applications online, are given a login ID and password that help in downloading the conveyance deed papers, which can then be stamped as per procedure of conversion.

Around 700 people visited the camp on April 11. Due to unprecedented rush, the special camp, which was to be on till April 12, is going to be extended. The camp will reopen after a gap of two days that is, on Wednesday (April 15) till Sunday (April 19).
