SP in BJP’s shoes, set to launch Talk To Your CM on Facebook

The move of the SP would also be an effort to counter  the development issues mooted by BJP prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi.

A senior party leader here today confirmed that the campaign’s punchline will be ‘You too can make a difference to Uttar Pradesh’ and the target will be the youth.

To publicise the campaign, several hoardings in Gautam  Buddha Nagar have been put up with many more to come up in other major cities in the coming days, the leader said.

Even though the advertisement contains Akhilesh’s  Twitter handle, a major focus will be on campaign through Facebook. The SP government aims to draw responses from the people in the form of what it calls ‘honest feedback’ and then implement the ideas suggested by them.

The chief minister has advised the leaders to be prepared as he expects that suggestions will pour in once the campaign goes live. ‘Not only suggestions, we are also expecting that people will share their personal experiences with various government departments in the state. It will give us room for improvement,’ the leader said.

Earlier, the chief minister had already accepted the suggestions regarding improvement in education system and in the laptop schemes came through the social media.

The campaign will run through Akhilesh’s Facebook page,  which has over four lakh ‘likes’. The page, which discusses the government’s achievements contains Akhilesh’s photograph from Military School, Dholpur, Rajasthan.

Recently, the CM has also loaded series of photos on Facebook taken during his chopper ride to different places of the state.
