Security in and around Safdarjung Hospital, where the Delhi gang-rape victim was treated about two months ago, will get tighter with the opening of a police post in the hospital premises Monday, an official said.
‘The police post will be inaugurated to tighten vigil around the hospital area,’ a police official said on Sunday.
The police post will be inaugurated Monday morning by Joint Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Vivek Gogia, the official said.
A 23-year-old trainee physiotherapist, who was brutally gang-raped on a moving bus on 16 December 2012, was admitted to the hospital soon after the incident. She was later shifted to a Singapore hospital where she died on 29 December 2012.
