Priyanka Vadra, daughter of Congress president and local MP Sonia Gandhi on Friday asked the party workers at the block level to solve problems of the people at the village level. She also announced that the party would open party offices at all the blocks.
Before winding up her two days visit in Rae Bareli, the parliamentary constituency of her mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, she met the congress workers of all the 15 blocks and said that all their grievances would be sorted out.
‘The Congress workers could approach the party’s block office to register their problems besides suggestion would be sought from the people about the weakness of the party in the area,’ she said.
When her attention was drawn on the difficulties faced by the people due to rationing of 6 LPG cylinders per year, she said that the Central government was considering to hike the numbers of cylinders.
Yesterday her brother and Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi too had promised the people at Jagdishpur in Amethi that he would speak to the Union Government and request them to increase supply of domestic gas cylinders so that each family got one cylinder per month.
Later Priyanka left for New Delhi by a regular flight from Lucknow.
