Solutions for FYUP pupils to be sent by 12 July: DU

In a move to solve the problem of 2013 batch under Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) in University of Delhi (DU), the university has asked Committee of Courses (COCs) to send their recommendations by 12 July.
In a letter issued to all heads by Assistant Registrar, he said: ‘The Committee of Courses should suggest advice in consonance with the recommendations made by principals’ committee which was appointed by DU.’
Giving the details of the recommendations made by principals’ committee, he said: ‘For Bachelor in Management Studies (Hons), the committee recommended 16 papers from semester third to sixth including Discipline Courses 1 and Discipline Courses 2 .The Committee of Courses should decide appropriate order of the papers from the same.’
For restructuring of B.Tech course, Omkar Pandit said: ‘The principals’ committee suggested three discipline course papers and one paper from allied engineering sciences for third to sixth semester. For seventh and eight semesters, a project should be included. The Committee of Courses should recommend appropriate order of discipline course from the approved papers in 2013-14 and also, suggest three papers from basic sciences to be included in third and fourth semester and one basic paper of allied sciences to be included in fifth to eight semester.’
Further giving the guidelines, he said: ‘The concerned department’s Committee of Courses offering B.Tech courses may consult experts from other engineering institutes in deciding the papers.’
