Slight intensity quake shakes Punjab’s cities

A slight intensity earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale shook many places of Punjab on Thursday afternoon.
Tremors were felt in Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Gurdaspur districts at 3.43 pm and lasted for a few seconds, the MeT department said.
There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or property.
The epicentre of the quake was in the Hoshiarpur-Himachal Pradesh border region, they said.
