Sketch of Shunty attacker to be put up across city by police

Shunty and his neighbours claim to have seen the assailant after he threw away his helmet. They were questioned about his appearance and a sketch was prepared, said an eye-witness who was summoned by the police.
However a police official said that the sketch was not finalised yet. ‘We will decide on it after incorporating some more details. We will try to finalise it by Friday. A copy shall be finalised and shown to Shunty and the eye-witnesses’, he said.
Police will also analyse the CCTV footages of the cameras installed at Shunty’s residence and its neighbouring areas. The police have also identified the car in which the accused allegedly ran away. The neighbours revealed that the car bore a Haryana number plate.
‘The car has been identified as a white Volkswagen Vento, but the registration number hasn’t been clearly captured by any of the cameras,’ the police official added. Meanwhile police has also not ruled out possibility of extortion, as the legislator had complained about threats he had received after cracking several land deals in east and northeast Delhi.
Sources revealed that Shunty received a call from the union home minister Rajnath Singh, Delhi Police commissioner on Wednesday evening, assuring him full-proof security. Delhi Police have assigned two constables as Shunty’s personal security officer. The police have also beefed-up the security outside his home.
