Six bodies found in 24 hrs near Ggn railway tracks

Six dead bodies, including one of a 20-year-old woman, were found within 24 hours in and around railway tracks near Gurgaon, police said on Tuesday.

All the bodies were found near railway tracks – connecting Delhi and Jaipur – at Farooq Nagar, Pataudi and Garhi areas, all neighbourhoods of Gurgaon. While, the first incident was reported at around 9 pm on Sunday, the last one was reported at around 8.30 pm on Monday.

On Monday night, three bodies were identified as Bhanu Pratap (60), Aman Kumar and Mohit. Aman and Mohit were apparently in their mid-twenties.

‘While Bhanu and Aman’s case looked like accidents, Mohit’s body had a rope tied to his neck. When his relatives were informed, they said Mohit never had any personal enmity with anyone as far as they knew,’ said a police official. He further said, Mohit’s case shall, however, be further investigated. By Tuesday evening, three more bodies were identified – Laxman Narayan (28), Nand Gopal (29) and the 20-year-old woman whose name has not been revealed by the police.

‘The woman’s parents told police that she was mentally challenged and got married in a nearby village recently,’ said the official. He further said, the woman’s body was found near the tracks under mysterious circumstances. The cause of her death shall be ascertained after the post-mortem report is out.
