Senior AAP leader and Patparganj constituency MLA Manish Sisodia is all set to improve drainage and streets of two villages in his constituency. He had received Rs 2 crore for Mandawali Fazalpur village and Patparganj Bangar village from the Union urban development ministry. The MLA is using Rs 4 crore from the MLA’s fund for 36 projects which involves installation of 609 CCTV cameras with the help of Delhi Police personnel at his constituency. Drainage and cleaning, sewage and consternation of toilets at T-camps, roads, street lights, drinking water, footpaths, and betterment of the parks are other areas which are going to be on his priority list.Â
While talking to Millennium Post over phone, Ritnesh Gupta, financial consultant who looks after Sisodia’s MLA funds said: ‘We have already done very good work at Mayur Vihar phase 2 and have also constructed footpaths near Ahlcon International School. Also work on sewage pipelines is going on in Pratap Vihar area.’
‘There are a number of transformers and 59 electric poles in very bad condition. We will either repair them or replace them. We will also use our funds for the betterment of clusters such as those in Nehru camp, Ravidas camp and Khichri Pur T-camp in our constituency.Â
‘The sewers are the biggest issue here. Roads are in a very poor condition. The drains have not been cleaned for many days. People are forced to throw their garbage outside their houses because the drains are blocked. We will use the money to improve the conditions in these areas,’ said Gupta.
The constituency covers Indraprastha Extension, Mayur Vihar I and II and DDA flats, Mandavali, Vinod Nagar and Patparganj.Â
All sections of society reside here and are facing a tough time from lack of maintenance of sewer lines, garbage not being collected on time and lack of clean drinking water facilities.Â
Earlier, Sisodia on Friday launched a website http://aapkamla.com to interact better with the people of his constituency.Â
He added that there will also be a helpline number 8588833457 for those who do not have access to internet.Â
They can register their complaints with the MLA office.Â
They can even monitor the status of their complaints and see whether any action is being taken to resolve it or not.
