Sisodia launches pipeline projects in Patpargunj

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday asked the people of his constituency to keep a tab on development works being carried out in their area and inform him directly about any case of corruption.

“The payment to contractors will be made only after residents of the area give a satisfactory input on the work carried out by them,” said Sisodia, launching water pipeline projects at two places in his constituency, Patpargunj.  He also distributed leaflets among residents, which mention the cost of the projects, their break-up, expected date of completion and contact number of the officers concerned. 

“If the officers ignore your complaint, you can directly complain to me,” he said.

These water pipelines will be laid from Narwana Road in Mandawali to Railway Colony and East Block Shakarpur area. “It will improve water supply in the areas of School Block Shakarpur, Indira Colony, Chanddra Vihar, Railway Colony and Pandit Mohalla areas of Patpargunj. The projects were inaugurated by laboures, working on the project.  

“The AAP government has announced to involve residents in social audit of various infrastructure projects to check graft and ensure quality of work. We will ensure that if a complaint of corruption comes against a contractor, a through probe will be conducted. No payment will be made, if he is found guilty,” said Sisodia.
