Shocker: Three-year-old raped by Shemrock staffer

The barbarism of the act was such that where even a three-year-old was not spared and unspeakable physical and emotional torture inflicted on her that sent shock waves in the entire area.

The victim’s family claimed that the child was in school when one of the staff raped her and damaged her private parts too.

It is important to point out here that this is the same school from where an incidence of sodomisation was reported four years ago.

Shemrock group happens to be the oldest play school chain in India with over 67 branches in Delhi and NCR and over 300 branches across India and abroad.

The family, which lives in Sector 12, informed that when the girl went to school, she was absolutely fine. After she returned, she was in an inebriated condition and complained to her mother that she was having an acute pain in her stomach. Later on Thursday evening, her mother found her in an unconscious state. Since the girl’s father, an IT engineer working with a private company in the city, was on night duty, her mother decided to take her to the doctor on Friday.

Early on Friday morning, while dressing her up, she spotted blood stains on her undergarments along with injury marks on her private parts. The family took her at the Metro hospital where rape was confirmed.

“The girl has said that an uncle, (school staff) lured her at a secluded place, touched her but she is not able to recognise him and narrate the incident properly,” said one of the family members.

The family reached the police station to lodge a complaint against the guilty person and the school authority but the cops denied to register a case. What is more shocking is the fact that police informed the school authority about the incident in order to protect them. Police also refused to accept medical report of a private hospital asking them to get one from a government hospital.

The family claimed that even the district hospital denied to examine her medically claiming that a minor could be examined only after an order from the District Magistrate or court, claimed the family.

“We have registered an FIR under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and Section 376 of IPC against the unidentified person and are investigating the matter. We have detained a few staff in this connection and are questioning them also. We are scanning CCTV footages installed in the school as well,” said a police official investigating the matter.
