A day after the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray lambasted Shiv Sena for holding on to its cabinet position in Narendra Modi government despite breaking alliance with BJP, Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Monday announced that Anant Geete, union minister of heavy industries,
will resign.
‘If Balasaheb Thackeray was alive today, he would have ditched BJP. Even after being insulted, Shiv Sena is still holding the union ministry portfolio. Sena is still in alliance with BJP in Mumbai Municipal Corporation as it is an income source,’ Raj had said. Sena chief Uddhav said, ‘Once Modi returns, Geete will hand over his resignation.’
