Shillong Lajong to take on Salgaocar

Local favourites Shillong Lajong FC will take on defending champions Salgaocar SC in the last I-league encounter of the season at the Nehru Stadium here tomorrow.<br><br> Currently placed at number six in the points table, Salgaogar beat the northeast side 2-1 at its home turf during the round 13 match.<br><br> Having lost five matches recently -- both home and away, Shillong Lajong's coach said the three-weeks gap could spell trouble for the team.<br><br> 'This is my second visit to Shillong. Besides being a good host, they have a great fan following," Salgaocar coach Karim Benchirifa told reporters at the pre-match conference.<br><br> Salgaocar will be missing the service of Karanjit Singh and Francis Fernandes who faced suspension while Gilbert Oliveira, who is nursing injury, has also been ruled out.<br><br> Karim said the team had a lot of injuries.<br><br> On the other hand, Shillong Lajong will be missing the service of C Lallawmzuala due to an injury.
