Sheila inaugurates ‘world-class skill centre’ at ITI

Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday declared open ‘Hunar’, a world-class skill centre at Industrial Training Institute (ITI)’s temporary campus at Vivek Vihar. The centre has been set up in collaboration with the Institute of Technical Education, government of Singapore. 

Dikshit claimed that her government is committed to make this centre the best skill development centre in the world. She further stated that the opening of the centre has made a dream come true. This is in tune with the skill development programme of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who has set the target of endowing 500 million people with skills. 

Delhi high education minister  A K Walia, MLAs Narendra Nath and Naseeb Singh, chief secretary D M Spolia, advisor to Prime Minister on skill development S Ramadorai and deputy secretary, government of Singapore, N G Cher Pong were present on the occasion.
