Shauryanjali: Govt to organise an exhibition on 1965 war

Major battle scenes of the 1965 India-Pakistan war and role of various services and arms would be showcased in an exhibition to be held here as part of the golden jubilee commemoration of the war.

The six-day long exhibition -- Shauryanjali -- would be held next week at Rajpath Lawns here and enclosures by CRPF, Media, Prasar Bharti and International Red Cross, who had played a major role during the War, besides the armed forces, an official statement said. A documentary film on the War would also be shown during the exhibition.

Food courts, souvenir shops and tableaux would also be there for the public and apart from these, Armed Forces Symphony Band would perform at the India Gate lawns in the evening, around sunset, on all days.

Timings of the exhibition are from 9 AM to 9 PM <g data-gr-id="16">everyday</g> with a reserved institutional slot from 9 AM to 11 AM for students, institutions and departments. Entry is free for the exhibition which is spread over an area of approximately 50,000 square metres in <g data-gr-id="13">air conditioned</g> pavilions.
