Shatrughan Sinha meets Kejriwal

BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, who is said to be unhappy with party leadership, on Thursday met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and praised the AAP government saying it was “working fine”, adding to the discomfiture of the saffron party.

Both sides played down the nearly hour-long meeting that took place at Kejriwal’s residence, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and senior AAP leader Ashutosh claiming that politics was not discussed. “We want to open a film city in Delhi and that is what I discussed with Shatrughan Sinha in the meeting,” Kejriwal later told reporters while Sinha said discussions were about “art and culture”.

“The Noida Film City plan did not work out. So, Kejriwal explored the possibility of reviving the plan. Delhi is often considered as a base for shooting in the Himalayas. So, even this option was explored,” said a senior AAP leader.

Sinha said he “likes” Kejriwal as a Chief Minister. “His government was working fine.”
