Shame city: 4-yr-old raped in Naraina area

A four-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified man in south-west Delhi's Naraina area late on Sunday evening. The accused is still absconding.
The incident took place when the minor was playing outside her residence. An unknown person lured the girl with candy and balloons and took her to an isolated place, where he raped her.
According to police, 'A call was made to the police control room by a passer-by, who had been taking a walk in a park in the Naraina area. He noticed the girl lying in a pool of blood, in a semi-conscious state. A team of police officials reached the spot and took the girl to the nearest hospital.'
The official added that till Monday morning the victim, who had recently been admitted in a government school, was not in a condition to give a statement.

'She is stable now and has been kept under observation,' the official said quoting the doctor.
A senior official said, 'We are investigating the matter and waiting for the victim’s condition to improve so that we can gather some clues about the rapist. Teams have been formed to collect evidences against the culprit.'
The girl's family has been living in a one-room rented flat in Naraina for the past five years. She is the only child of the family. Her father works in an iron factory as a labourer.
