Shame city: 15-yr-old gang raped in Ghaziabad

In yet another case of crime against a minor in the national capital, a 15-year-old student of class IX was allegedly kidnapped and gang raped by two persons in east Delhi's Pandav Nagar area on 31 May. No arrest has been made in the case so far.

According to police, the victim lives with her family in the Pandav Nagar area and studies at a nearby government school. The accused are residents of the same neighbourhood and are said to be known to the victim.
The victim has claimed that on 31 May, when she was walking near her house in the afternoon, one of the accused, identified as Fakira, asked her to come with him for a ride on his bike and took her to an unidentified area in Ghaziabad.

'Fakira took her inside a room where his nephew, identified as Pradeep, was already present. He then offered her a cold drink laced with sedatives. When she became dizzy, the two took turns to rape her and reportedly made a video of the crime on a cell phone,'  the victim has said in her complainant.

The accused later allegedly threatened to upload the video on the Internet if she reported the matter, before dropping her in the Pandav Nagar area. Based on the findings of the victim's medical report and statement, a case has been registered under relevant provisions of the IPC and Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012.
