Shah urges youth to vote for development

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah addressed a public rally at Sahibganj in Bihar.

He said: “I have been touring all over Bihar and I can see the anger among the youth, anxiety among women regarding their safety and a yearning for change among the electorate. It is evident that when the results of Assembly polls are announced on November  8, the NDA will form the government with a two-third majority. And that will  mark the beginning of development and progress in Bihar.”

He added youngsters in the state are ignorant of the progress the country has made in the past 25 years due to the “mis-governance of Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar”. Shah said: “BJP-ruled states have 24-hour electricity, clean drinking water and roads connecting villages. Besides, women are much safer in those states.”

The BJP chief asserted that farmers in BJP-ruled states were happy as the produce is purchased on time. He alleged that the opposition parties under the Mahagathbandhan are trying to turn this election into a battle between forward and  backward castes. However, this time, its a contest between progressive and backward Bihar, he said.
