Sensex falls for 8th Day

Falling for the eighth day in a row, the BSE benchmark Sensex on Monday lost over 24 points to close at new one year low of 19,460.57 on selling in capital goods and FMCG stocks.
The Sensex fell by 24.20 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 19,460.57, its lowest close since 31 December 2012. The index had lost 520 points in last seven sessions. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty dipped below 5,900 points by falling 5.65 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 5,897.85, after touching the day’s low of 5,979.10.
