Senior AAP leader claims ‘BJP worker’ attempted to bribe her

On Wednesday Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Bandana Kumari filed a police complaint against a man who allegedly tried to bribe her into joining his party. The complaint has been filed at Shalimar Bagh police station.
Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai said that a man, who claimed to be the BJP worker, identified as Sanjay Paliwal, approached her on Tuesday evening and asked her to join his party and help them form the next government in Delhi. Rai further said that party has considered this matter very seriously, as the accused threatened her with dire consequences if the details of their meet was disclosed.
He also said that Kumari has submitted CCTV footage showing Paliwal’s car number. She has accused Paliwal of telling her that he would fix up a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that the party will offer her a ministerial berth. Rai further said that last month, AAP MLA Rajesh Garg, had faced similar attempts.
‘BJP is trying to form government in Delhi by approaching our MLAs and that BJP can fall to such depths is not at all surprising’, said Rai. Meanwhile police have said that they received the complaint and matter is under investigation.
