Seeking Kumbh visit, Sadhvi Pragya launches hunger strike

Sadhvi, who wanted to take a dip in the Shipra river and had secured an order from a court in Dewas district, started the protest around 9 am in Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.

“Upset over not being allowed to visit the Simhastha mela and take a holy dip in the Shipra, the Sadhvi has started a protest in the Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic Hospital. She has not been taking water and food since 9am,” said her associate Bhagwan Jha.

Jha said the court had allowed Sadhvi to visit the religious fair and take the dip on May 4.
