Security upped in Ayodhya for Babri Masjid anniversary

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the demolition of the disputed structure tomorrow, the twin temple city has turned into a fortress.
According to official sources on Wednesday, elaborate security arrangements are being made in view of the disputed structure demolition anniversary that would be observed as 'Shaurya Diwas' by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and 'Youm-e-gam Diwas' by the Muslim organisations.
While the Vishwa Hindu Parishad is organising a Sammelan tomorrow, the Muslims would close down their shops and institutions to mourn as Youm-e-gam day to mark theirĀ protest.
The Muslims would organise special prayer for re-construction of the mosque, while the VHP will commit for the grand Ram temple.
VHP media-in-charge Sharad Sharma, who is based in Ayodhya on Wednesday said several Mahants and saints would assemble in Ayodhya on the day to participate in the VHP function.
