Security was tightened in the Ghaziabad court on Friday, after the Thursday shootout. Every person entering the court compound will now be thoroughly checked. However, police has not yet arrested the main accused in the case.
‘We have deployed extra police and PAC personnel to step up security and prevent any unwarranted incidents in the court,’ said S S Yadav, S P City, Ghaziabad.
‘One of the accused, Wasim, arrested on Thursday, was not involved in the attack and only three assailants have been identified so far. Among them, two have been arrested,’ added Yadav.
The main accused in the Thursday shootout, Yogesh Bhadauda, who had planned the attack on gangster Uddham Singh to take revenge against his brother’s murder, is still at large. Singh, who received a bullet in his head, is reportedly stable in Ram Manohar Lohia [RML] Hospital in New Delhi. According to police.
Meanwhile, a justice of Allahabad High Court, Devi Prasad, on Friday visited the Ghazibad district court to take first hand account of security arrangements, and will report to Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.
