Security guard murdered at DDA office in South Delhi

A 57-year-old security guard was found dead at the office of DDA’s Superintending Engineer in south Delhi’s Munirka area on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nandram. His head was reportedly crushed with a stone. The police registered a case of murder at the Vasant Vihar police station, said a police official.
He further said, Nandram was called to come for night duty on <g data-gr-id="35">Tuesday,</g> when the other security guard reportedly took an emergency sick leave. Nandram was supposed to have a day off on Wednesday. He was reportedly about to be discharged from his duty by 8 am on Wednesday.
According to a police source, the police also found a liquor bottle and a few disposable glasses at the spot, where Nandram was spotted lying in a pool of blood around 7.45 am. He was rushed to the
AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared brought dead.
It is suspected that Nandram was part of a group which was consuming alcohol in the area and an argument might have resulted to his alleged murder. However, it is too early to conclude anything and Investigation of the case is underway, said a police official.
Nandram stayed with his wife and two children at <g data-gr-id="38">south east</g> Delhi’s Khanpur area. <g data-gr-id="39">Nandram’s</g> family has, however, denied the possibility of attack over personal enmity, the police source added.
