The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to to utilise recycled water to maintain its parks, spread over 1,846 acres. The civic body has also announced to install small Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) near drains, which will treat the water and provide recycled water to parks.
“The SDMC has been trying an alternative of using recycled water for making parks greener after a ban was imposed on using boring water for the purpose. A number of small ETPs have been installed near drains,” said Ashish Sood, Leader of the House in the civic body.
