SDMC launches sanitation helpline

South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has recently launched a sanitation helpline for each of its zones to deal with complaints related to garbage in their area.

The corporation has established a grievance redressal centre in every zone where citizens can register their complaints. The helpline has been in operation for some time now. Sarita Chaudhary, mayor of SDMC informed that civic body will solve sanitation-related complaints within 12 hours of receiving it.

‘Residents can call the helpline numbers and civic officials will make sure that it is solved within 12 hours,’ said Chaudhary. She also added that the SDMC is looking to make all services time-bound.
The helpline numbers are 26522700 (South Zone), 29812700 (Central Zone), 25422700 (West Zone) and 28011235 (Najafgarh Zone).
