Scribe beaten up by police officer

A Delhi-based journalist, working for a reputed Hindi daily, was allegedly beaten up by a senior police official and a few constables at Trilokpuri on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported at around 1 pm, when the reporter, identified as Rajesh Saroha, was stopped by a few police officials when he was caught riding towards Block 11, one hour before the prohibitory orders were relaxed. Saroha alleged that, he was talking to the cops stationed there when suddenly Rakesh Sherawat (SHO of Vijay Vihar) came up and started beating him up.
