Scored below 90%? Hope fades for DU science aspirants

Students who wish to take admission in popular science courses (Honors) in Delhi University have major disappointing news. Those who have scored less than 90 per cent have little chance of getting admission in these courses. 

Popular science courses like computer science, physics, chemistry, <g data-gr-id="42">statistics</g> and electronics are not available for less than 90 per cent in any of the 47 colleges which offer science courses. 

Mathematics is available in only two colleges for less than 90 <g data-gr-id="28">per cent</g>.

The highest cut-off for computer science is 100 percent at College of Vocational Studies and Indraprastha College for women while the lowest cut-off for Computer Science is 93 per cent at Kalindi College. 

The highest cut-off for Physics is 97.33 at Hansraj College while the lowest is 90 <g data-gr-id="27">per cent</g> at Rajdhani College.

The situation is not very bright for those with less than 95 <g data-gr-id="30">per cent</g>. Only 5 colleges have released cut-off at less than 95 per cent for Physics, <g data-gr-id="40">Chemistry</g> and Electronics.

The lowest cut-off for Physical Science, which is available in seven colleges for less than 90 <g data-gr-id="29">per cent</g>, is at Bhagini Nivedita at 78 per cent.

Courses like Botany and Zoology are available in five and four colleges respectively at less than 90 per cent. The lowest for Botany is 81 <g data-gr-id="38">per cent</g> at Zakir Hussain College while for Zoology it is 81 at the same college.
