The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday termed the Supreme Court order on Arunachal Pradesh as a “tight slap” on the Narendra Modi dispensation and said the Centre should take a lesson from the judgement and “stop” interfering in affairs of Delhi government and misusing agencies.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP-led Centre of “subverting” the Constitution and attempting to impose “dictatorship” in the country. He chastised Modi for having “no faith” in democracy and Constitution. “SC judgement is yet another tight slap on dictatorial Modi Govt. Hope Modiji wud learn n now stop interfering in democratically elected govts,” he tweeted. He added Modi has no faith in the Constitution and no respect for people’s mandate. Kejriwal expressed hope that Modi learnt from the Supreme Court verdict on both the Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh and would now let the elected Delhi government function.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh said our country would run as per the Constitution and not on ‘Hitler Shahi’. “The Arunachal judgment is a tight slap on Modi sarkar and now it should learn that democracy will run as per the wishes of the citizens, through their elected representatives and Modi Ji cannot impose the dictatorship of Governors and LGs on state governments,” he added.
