Deputy Secretary of AIIMS Sanjiv Chaturvedi has written to Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha requesting allocation of work, claiming that all work assigned to him was withdrawn in the last couple of years. Chaturvedi, former CVO, has also sought an appointment with the Cabinet secretary over the issue. “After joining the AIIMS, I was given main work of CVO of the Institute and apart from that minor works of general section, estate section, grievances. However, all the works were withdrawn, one by one without assigning any reason and despite consistent outstanding record as recorded by Union Health Minister and Health Secretary,” Chaturvedi said in his letter to the Cabinet secretary. Chaturvedi in the letter has also mentioned on how his repeated request for work allocation by the current health secretary has gone unheard citing political pressure.
