Sandeep Goel is new Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic)

In a major reshuffle in Delhi Police, Sandeep Goel has been promoted and will now serve as the new Special CP (Traffic). The second round of odd-even scheme that started on April 15 will now be looked after by the new Special CP (Traffic). 

Apart from this, four Joint Commissioners of Police have also been promoted. In an order issued on April 18, Sandeep Goel, a 1989 IPS batch officer, has been promoted to take over as the new traffic police chief after Muktesh Chander was relieved. 

On the other hand, according to the order, there will two Joint CPs (Traffic). 

A K Ojha has been promoted as the Joint CP (Traffic) and Garima Bhatnagar has been transferred to Joint CP (Traffic) from Joint CP (Special Branch).

Meanwhile, the Joint CP of Central Range has been promoted and will now serve as Special CP (Security). 

In place of Gautam, Virender Singh Chahal who was serving as the Joint CP (Security) will take over as the new Central Range Joint CP.

Sanjay Beniwal, who was serving as Joint CP Eastern Range will now serve as Special CP (Operations) in place of Beniwal and Satish Golcha, who was serving as Joint CP (Economic Offences Wing) will take over as the New Joint CP (Eastern Range).

R S Krishnia, Joint CP of South-Eastern range will be serve as the Special CP Armed Police and Recruitment. 

In place of Krishnia, Rajender Pal Upadhyay, reporting on transfer will take over as the new Joint CP South-Eastern range.

V Renganathan, a 1997 batch IPS officer, will be reporting on transfer and will serve as the new Joint CP (Special Cell).

Apart from the promotion of Joint CPs, Sundari Nanda, a 1988 IPS batch officer, who was serving as Special CP (Operations) will now be transferred to Special CP (Women safety, Airport andModernisation). 

Deepak Mishra, Special CP (Administration), has been made the Additional DG (CRPF).
