SAM pays tribute to ‘Braveheart’ on 16 Dec

The organisation paid a tribute to the victim along with participants from over 25 schools of the capital on 16 December, at Dilli Haat. This event was planned to conjure civil society integration in a collective response to crime against women.
‘Gender-based crime is not just a threat to the social fabric of India, but it is a result of a prolonged anxiety that breeds at the psychic level of those who land into its perpetration. Last year, when we united against this, there came upon a revolution. This time Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan has pledged to raise civil society consciousness once again in this important direction’, said Sadhvi Pragya Bharti, representative of DJJS.
‘The solidarity event which would pay tribute to the victim of last year’s most horrific episode of gangrape has seen participation from over 25 renowned schools of the capital, including Sanskriti school, Bal Bharti, Maxfort, DAV, RDPS, Bargodia, St. Prayag, etc.
During the event, a vibrant gathering of over 4000 people from different walks of life arrived. SAM‘s journey began in New Delhi. Now it touches lakhs of young lives from over 10 cities like Bangalore, Pune, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bhopal, Shimla, Indore, Meerut, etc. In the past four years, more than 200 sessions have been conducted in these cities, which have been benefactor for lakhs of young lives.
