‘Salman’s blood samples may have been tampered with’

Actor Salman Khan’s lawyer on Tuesday argued before the Bombay high court that the blood samples collected to test the presence of alcohol in his blood after the 2002 hit-and-run mishap may have been tampered with.

The High Court is hearing an appeal filed by the actor against his conviction and five-year sentence in the case where he was found guilty of ramming his Toyota Land Cruiser into a shop in suburban Bandra, killing one and injuring four others on September 28, 2002. Khan’s lawyer Amit Desai said there were discrepancies in the evidence right from the stage when Salman was taken to JJ Hospital for a blood test.
